Trash 2 Treasure

Posted on

Today in Beyond Recycling we set up displays in the library of Trash to Treasure projects. We invited classes from Twin Rivers and a class from Castlegar Primary to show off our projects and to explain what we did. The projects had to be made from old trash, they had to be useful and nothing new could be bought. Some of the projects were for fun, like a catipult, sligshot and a pop bottle bowling game which the grade ones really enjoyed. Other projects were for decoration, like candle holders made of cans, wind chimes and a wheely bird. Some students made useful projects, like piggy banks, plant holders, candle holders and a carrying bag made from a t-shirt. Students enjoyed making and veiwing the projects.
