CLICK HERE TO GAIN INSTANT ACCESS TO YOUR EARTH DAY BUNDLE OF LESSONS
We want to help make it a little easier to plan for an engaging Earth Day for your students so we are offering free-access to Columbia Basin teachers for grade 4-7 this year. Usually, these lessons are reserved for teachers participating in our award-winning, Kootenay-made, engaging environmental education, Beyond Recycling program – but not this year!
Now you can choose from 6 of our favorite action-based, hands-on, tested Beyond Recycling lessons to engage your students for Earth Day. Choose something simple or a multi-day project that all start with a video, including:
Hands-on, multi-day, creative lessons:
- Trash2Treasure – turn waste/recycling/unused items into something useful
- Communities of the Future – learn about green communities and build/design a sustainable community of your own
- True Cost of Food – learn about food choices then choose to grow/cook your own real food
Simpler, behavior challenge action projects:
- Screen-Free Day EcoChallenge – pledge to go screen-free for a set time
- Waste Free Granola Bar EcoChallenge – make a waste-free snack to put in their lunches
- Short Shower EcoChallenge – reduce the length of their showers over a 4-day period
