JV Humphries students in Ms Franke’s 3/4/5 class utilized the class planter boxes to plant various salad greens and radishes on April 28. They seeded various spicy greens, red romaine lettuce, green leaf lettuce, and red globe radishes. These species and varieties of food plants were chosen because of their early growing season so students could sample their food before the end of the school year. A great time was had by all!! Note: At this time I do not have access to the photos of this activity, but will add them to this post asap 🙂 Thanks to Ms. Franke and Mr. Anderson for helping to fix one of the planter boxes that needed repair before we could utilize it this season!
