Students from JV Humphries in Kaslo participated in their Energy Debates last week with great enthusiasm! Groups of students were assigned a renewable or non-renewable energy source (solar, hydro, wind, fossil fuels, or nuclear) and researched the pros and cons of each source. They defended ‘their’ energy source with a vehemence that startled us all, but remembered to be polite in their ‘attacks’ on the opposite groups. As their BR educator, I was super impressed with seriously they took the debate, how much work they put into their research, and how much fun they had with this lesson 🙂
