Today’s lesson was all about how people are interconnected and dependent with the incredible diversity of life on earth! Mr. Brauer’s grade 5/6 class at Yaqan Nukiy braved the cold morning for a brisk walk through the forest to get some insight on our relationship with nature. The students made great observations on how we are similar to other living beings. We also learned about how spending time outside in the forest, wetlands, rivers and our own backyards help us to create stronger relationships with the living world around us. How would our communities be different if we made decisions where we considered the other people, animals and plants that share the planet with us?
