Trash to Treasure
JV Humphries students enjoyed the Trash to Treasure lesson, with many cool inventions. The recycled ice cream, lava lamp, puppet show, planter carriage, rocket ship, mobile, and many more. The students loved thinking about re-using items for new purposes. It was awesome to see the diversity of ideas and resultant creations 🙂

The last class in Fernie was filled with prizes, games and more. More prizes were given out for the EcoChallenge. The Beyond Recycling EcoChallenge was filled with amazing prizes throughout the 4 week period from FortisBC including low flow showerheads and kitchen tap aerators. Our program-end celebration included a slideshow of the amazing year we had. So many great memories of all the activities, costumes, debates, slideshows, games, art projects,videos, Eco-Challenge, potluck, field trip… There were prizes for the top Eco-Challenge participants, as well as a rousing game of "Beyond Recycling Jeopardy" Thanks All, for a great year!!
