This week we looked at how what we eat can impact the planet. We started of the class by looking at the classic American meal of hamburger, fries and a pop. We looked deep into what is involved in creating this meal, noting that to create this meal our food had to travel a very long distance. Many of the kids in our rural Jaffray school already produce some of their food with families who have cattle, chickens, and families that store and process food they grown in their gardens.
