Students in Mrs. Gadbois and Ms. Johnson’s classes were treated with an unforgettable farm tour. Students learned about the greenhouses, transplanting, chicken and pig husbandry as well as composting. Students were able to contribute to the farm by transplanting row upon row of yellow onions. Students took to the challenge and loved the opportunity to help. Students also planted sunflower, pumpkin corn and cucumber starters.
After our farm tour, we headed back to Arrow Heights Elementary for our Real Food Potluck. Students enjoyed the challenge of sharing organic, local or unprocessed food!
