When we did our Real Food Potluck at Ms. Juliet’s Wildflower class there was an interesting theme that kept coming up as the students described their dishes they brought- family! Some brought homemade salsa made by grandma with tomatoes from their garden. Others brought cookies and bread made with their mom’s help. Another student brought chicken curry made from chickens that their family had raised and then butchered. To add into the mix there was local juice, fresh veggies and fruit. It was a real feast! It seemed like there was lots of care and attention put into the food that the students brought to share with their class. The consensus was that real food tastes fantastic!
Real food involves family!
