A "Waste" Eco Challenge Fashion show at KIS

The students in Ms Ronalea’s class at Kimberley Independent School, had the opportunity to have some silly fun and get really creative with the Waste Eco Challenge before the Christmas Break. Students designed and created items from recycled T- shirts. As you can see, the creativity was abundant and students created arm bands, scrunchies and head bands, on top of their own T-shirt bag. The bags made by students were to be used as recycled gift bags for Christmas or grocery bags. The intention was to replace the need to purchase more “stuff,” which eventually would make its way to the landfill.  Students were very proud of their wears and had fun. Students also learned that by making different choices on how we use/recycle items we can have a great impact on our planets health.
