Our class field trip to the transfer station, landfill and recycling centre was a fantastic day, and we learned a lot! We saw how all the different kinds of garbage can be separated, and so much of it can be reused and recycled. We learned about ‘product stewardship’ of certain items, and about where our recycling goes after we put it in the blue bag. We realized the importance of NOT contaminating the bag of recyclables!
