This week Ms. Leaches class explored the discrepancy of resources and ecological footprints throughout the world. Students participated in the “Food for Thought” activity where we turned our classroom into the world, and divided the world’s population and resource use. Students were spell bound as many realized for the first time how unevenly resources are distributed throughout the world and how this is connected to our needs and wants and well as our ecological footprints. The class discussion that followed this activity was incredibly engaging and thought provoking! Students are keen to work on the Ecochallenge- Water Investigation this week. Students will be measuring the flow of their showers and investigating how many minutes family members shower for.
