Backyard-raised, home-cooked chicken, locally-raised beef sausages, home-smoked trout (smoked with cherry tree wood from their yard!) … local fruits, cheeses, too many desserts to mention (but it’s an Okanagan-peach pie in the photo)… the students at Redfish feasted today on real food, most of it locally grown or raised. And we finished it off with ice cream (cream from the Okanagan, which almost fits in with a 100-mile diet!) It certainly was the most delicious Beyond Recycling lesson yet for this group.
