On Feb 18 JV Humphries students participated in Energy Debates! Students worked in groups to research their energy source (either Solar, Wind, Hydro, Nuclear, or Fossil Fuels) using the school’s ipads and Beyond Recycling student page resources. The debates went super well and students got pretty heated up to defend ‘their’ energy source!! For our class this was a great lesson and students got to show their ability to think clearly and articulate their concerns and questions about each energy source. When thinking about energy use in the future, one students remarked "it will be best to use some of each of the renewable resources to create reliable energy for everyone".
