Beyond Recycling has been a journey of discovery for Ms. Vibe’s 5/6 class. From learning the science of garbology to paper making and creating power – it has been a fun adventure. For the final lesson students began by exploring their back yard with a nature connections scavenger hunt. Nakusp Elementary School has a forest along one edge of the school where an array of treasures were found. We closed with a circle where students shared their favourite Beyond Recycling moments and the many wonders they have left to discover.
