The Grade 7 class at Glenmerry Elementary in Trail got their creative juices flowing for this years Earth Day projects.
Students designed a futuristic transportation unit that is environmentally friendly. They made a small model to represent their unit out of “trash” or recyclables to showcase their idea.
Each model included a short paragraph explaining their project, unique names of their models, a list of diverted material used, and how their mode of transportation is environmentally friendly. There was everything from a bus that ran on garbage and grey water to a plane that was fuelled only by CO2. Who knows, maybe one of these students will invent the next green transportation unit for our sustainable future!
