The Wildsight Education team dove into action when the CoVid pandemic hit.  Our incredible team of passionate educators developed special Beyond Recycling resources to support BR students and BR teachers in providing continuity of learning while learning at home.

1st – Student Pages

We created engaging student content for the 27 Beyond Recycling lessons. The student lesson pages now contain related podcasts, videos, engaging content, hands-on activities, Kahoot games and journaling opportunities for each lesson. These are available to the public and can be found at www.beyondrecycling.ca/lessons

2nd – EcoChallenge Investigations

We developed 3 EcoChallenge activities that included a hands-on project that challenged students to try on a new behavior and then report back on what they found and share their experiences with their class. Each EcoChallenge offered an easy-to-watch video slideshow that explains the activity and quick to copy or easy to print worksheet that allows students to track actions. Contact us if you are interested in learning more about these activities.

3rd – Video Lessons

We adapted 3 Beyond Recycling lessons into a video format that allowed teachers to easily introduce students to an engaging, multi-day, creative, hands-on project. The lessons included building a useful project out of unused items, designing a community of the future, and growing/making food. Contact us if you are interested in learning more about these lessons.
