The students in Ms Ronalea’s grade 6/7 class at KIS in Kimberley had their last Beyond Recycling class. We decided to take it to the Kimberley Nature Park, where we started with the “We are Nature” class in the fall. Students shared with the group their favourite lessons and experiences from the program. Lessons like the Eco Footprint, Paper Making, The T-shirt Eco challenge and We are Water were just a few mentioned. Lessons learned and “take aways” from the program were to treat the earth with care, the importance of reducing our eco footprint, living more sustainably and to love the earth. It has truly been an amazing and interesting year with these amazing young people, who have grown so much and been such an inspiration!!
