St Mary's Students Debate Energy!

The grade 6 students in Mrs Gallina’s class had the chance to participate in a spirited debate about energy sources. Students spent the better part of 2 weeks, researching and learning all they could about their groups assigned energy source. Some found it difficult to advocate for an energy source they did not whole heartedly agree with but that is the challenge of debating. Solar energy came out as the victor, as students selected the group that demonstrated the best facts, firing round, and rebuttal. The group had such a great time, they wanted to try it again..this time debating which is better, pancakes or waffles?!
