The last Beyond Recycling class for Ms. Nelson – now Mr. Hammerich’s – grade 5/6 in Blewett had us looping back to the concepts introduced in the first lesson, specifically on how the Earth is like a cookie jar. The students responses were thoughtful and certainly more informed. They finished their Beyond Recycling adventure for the year with appreciation – or, more precisely, creating these fantastic cards of appreciation for the various Waste Field Trip tour leaders.
