Brent Kennedy engaged in a polite, well-reasoned, well-researched debate today, where they tried to determine the best energy source out of solar, wind, hydro, fossil fuels, and nuclear. All were surprised by nuclear energy’s compelling arguments, and more than a few were surprised that "debate" doesn’t mean yelling at each other, trying to get one’s point across loudest. It was fun, engaging and definitely a great way to engage the whole class in seeing that, really, there is no one perfect energy source out there (but some are absolutely better than others).
