The W.E. Graham 5/6 class looked at how different populations use varying amounts of resources. The students examined the use of oil throughout the world, and through a hands-on activity saw how certain populations use so much more than others. Students were surprised to find out how much oil people in North America use versus people living in Asia. Students discussed the difference between Needs versus Wants and how Sustainability means meeting our own present needs without jeopardizing the ability of future generations to meet their needs.
