To help celebrate Earth Day, students from Golden’s Lady Grey Elementary School planted vegetable and sunflower seeds to start in their classroom. The students brought in post-consumer waste containers to re-use as vegetable pots. We drilled holes into the bottoms to allow the extra water to drain out. Students found the larger containers worked the best. Students were excited to take their seedlings home to watch them grow over the summer.
