Frank J Mitchell Elementary School students were shocked to learn in the first Beyond Recycling lesson how much of their garbage is not true garbage. Since then, students have been making a concerted effort to only put true garbage in the garbage can, and make sure that recyclables go in to the recycling, and compost is destined for a local farm. Before Christmas, students got to try their hand in recycling paper waste, using old scrap paper to make new, colourful paper.
