Earth Day in Fernie was some SERIOUS fun this year. Students of all ages join in the activities at the Fernie Arts Station on April 22nd, 2014. Activities included an earth felting project, worm composting, trash to treasure crafting, cinema showcase movies, and free popcorn and snacks.
Students created a collage in old cd cases, looking at one of a zillion possibilities of ways to shrink our ecological footprints. From cross-country skiing instead of driving, to recycling, to stay-cations, each idea was illustrated almost entirely with items bound for the recycling centre or landfill.
