Students at Kimberley Independent School had the chance to apply many of the lessons learned throughout the Beyond Recycling program into beautifully designed Eco communities. Students were given the challenge to create a community that demonstrated the eco footprint concept as well as share their Cities of the Future with their classmates and cohort classes. Many of the designs incorporated smaller communities with tiny homes or multi family dwellings, with gardens, composts and locally sourced meats and produce. Students came up with innovative and sustainable ways to produce energy, minimize waste and respect water and the environment. They did an amazing job!!
