The Gr. 6/7 class from Rossland Summit School were amazed to learn about the process of waste disposal in their community while visiting the landfill and bottle depots. This field trip is a highlight with the Beyond Recycling program as the students see first hand the challenges of managing everyday garbage. They learn about how individuals can make better choices at the end of a products lifecycle. Product stewardship and new recycling policies are all positive steps towards less waste in our landfills.Throwing it away is not the only option!
