Ecological Footprint
Today JVH students learned about their Ecological Footprint and how to calculate the average footprint of their class. Food, Water, Energy, Transportation, and Waste make up our eco-footprint. Students who had been in Beyond Recycling last year as grade 4’s were experts in their ecofootprint and helped to explain the concepts to the other students.

Trash to Treasure in Salmo
Wind chimes, tin-can telephones, elevators, cars, toy houses, plant holders, a seedling starter and much much more are on display at the Salmo Public Library, showcasing the creativity and ingenuity displayed by this group as they turned what was to be trash truly into treasure.
Trash 2 Treasure at Twin Rivers!
The Gr. 6 students at Twin Rivers Elementary School in Castlegar did an OUTSTANDING job with their Trash 2 Treasure projects. Eco-Challenge Week 2 at Rosemont
This week, the students at Rosemont stepped up their Eco-Challenge actions and earned a total of 6756 points. Thirteen students brought in their booklets and received prizes. Well done!
